Mangrian-jo-Daro

Mangrian-jo-Daro lies about 11 km south-east of Kario Ghanwar, it can be accessed from Badin-Golarchi Road towards Allah Dino Nizamani village and further via earthen track to Mangrian-jo-Daro. Mangrian-jo-Daro is divided in two parts, mound-01 (north-west) and mound-02 (south-east). The dimensions of the Mound-01 are 82 m in length, 63 m in breadth and approximately 5.1 m high from the surrounding plains, Mound-02 is 92 m in length, 62 m in breadth, it is about 4 m high from the surrounding area. The cultural repertoire on the surface included: Plain, painted black on red ware, glazed pottery, black ware, incised pottery, almost similar type and design of pottery has been found from quite a number of sites of Badin and Tando Mohammed Khan district. Terracotta objects included a humble bubble, handle, animal figurine, terracotta quern, terracotta ball, iron nails, shells, sandstone, stone grinder etc.
