Jasothan-Jo-Daro is located approximately 5.62 km west of Kario Ghanwar town and about 2.32 km west of United Energy Pakistan Oil Company (Khaskheli Oil Camp). It can be accessed from Kario Ghanwar-Khorwah road towards UEP Oil Company and onwards via Canal path to Jasothan-jo-Daro. The site of Jasothan-Jo-Daro also known as Jakhran-Jo-Daro and Khathar Daro (hereafter Jasothan-Jo-Daro), measuring 89 m in length, 71 m in breadth and about 2.5 m high from the surrounding area, its elevation above sea level is 14 m at the top of the mound. The cultural material was profusely scattered over the site which clearly belonged to the Islamic period, it included: plain, painted black on red ware, glazed pottery, miniature pots, different shapes of terracotta complete oil lamps, spoons, dabber, terracotta querns, animal figurines, stone grinders in different colors (yellow, black and gray), sand stone, shell objects, shell bangles and cones, multi colored beads (red, black, white and green) and copper coins.
