Talhar Old Pull/Bridge

The Talhar Old Pull/ Mori (water drain culvert) is located at a distance of about 1.12 km north of Talhar city, near Wagho Adil Chowk, Taluka Talhar, District Badin. The Talhar Old Pull/ Bridge (water drain culvert) originally had total five semi-circle arches, four arches are presently surviving in damaged condition, the northern arch has collapsed, and the southern arch is hidden under trees and shrubs. It is constructed with burnt bricks, stone block and cheroli is used as mortar. The bridge has been abandoned due to change in the direction of the water which now flows in northwest- southeast direction. There are rectangular shaped supporting walls on both (North and south) sides of the bridge, its exterior dimensions are 62.2 m (length) and 7.9 m (breadth). There are cone shaped bases on both sides of the arches, measuring 5.4 m in breath with 2.4 m interior height. This culvert was constructed for the purpose of water drain canal in the British period. There is a new bridge constructed recently with burnt bricks and cement on the northern side of the old Pull.
