SindhSettlementProtected
Dhandeehar-jo-Daro is located about 10.7 Km south-west of Buthi Lashkar Khan village, it can be accessed from Buthi Lashkar village via Hamal lake road. The archaeological site of Dhandeehar -jo- Daro is located on a large mound measuring 44 m in length, 60 m in breadth and its highest elevation is 4.2 m from surrounding area. The local people mention the site once to have been a very rich site, but its present condition does not reveal any such evidence, some pottery and shell evidence is now found on the site. It is yet unidentifiable, as the cultural material has been damaged during floods of 2010 and due to presence of heavy salts on the site, Bukhari (2008) presumes it to be pre-Islamic.
