Labaran-Jo-Daro

Labaran-Jo-Daro is located about 5.13 km north-west of Garhi Khuda Baksh near Noor Muhammad Buledi village. It can be accessed from Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Mazar via earthen track to the site. Labaran-Jo-Daro is a large site measuring 725 m north-south and 332 m east-west, it is about 8 m high from the surrounding plains. The total area of the site is about 240700 sq. m. There is a village Sajan Labano consisting of nearly 40 houses on the southern part of the mound and a brick kiln on the eastern edge. The ceramics collected from the surface of the site comprised of plain, painted, few black colored and cloth impressed pottery. No diagnostic sherd was found hence period is unidentified (Islamic period?).
