Thul Mazar Bhurgri

The Mazar Bhurgri Thul is located approximately 4.26 km north-east of Qasbo village. It can be accessed from Pat Gul Muhammad-Qasbo Road towards village Mazar Bhurgri.The Thul/ Stupa Mazar Bhurgri is of the Buddhist period, the remains of such Thul/ stupas of Buddhist period are found in various parts of Sindh. These stupas or Thul were most probably constructed between 3rd-7th century CE in Sindh. The Thul is irregular in shape and about 4 m high from the surface level. The measurement of the base on the eastern side is 10 m, western 7.3 m, southern 10 m and northern 9.5 m. It is partially eroded with the passage of the time. It is constructed with mud bricks, there are some molded bricks scattered surrounding the Thul, perhaps, they were used in the base for decoration. Burnt bricks, molded /decorated bricks and brick bats along with stamped pottery are scattered on the surface near the Thul. There are traces of burnt brick wall at a distance about 30 m, on the western side of the Thul.
