Veeral Shah Tomb (Veernath Temple)

The tomb of Veeral Shah is located about 02 km north-west of Borarri village and can be accessed from Khairpur Nathan Shah-Borarri village road. The structure perhaps was a Darbar of Guru Gorakhnath and was in the possession of the Hindu community at the time of partition. There was a perhaps a Samadhi inside this Darbar, presently it known as Veeral Shah tomb by the locals. Surrounding this structure, there are some old structures including one well, mud bricks wall, water pool and a pipal tree.The Veeral Shah tomb (Veernath temple) was originally enclosed within a earthen wall with an entrance of burnt bricks, traces of which are still surviving. Presently the structure is concealed by trees and wild growth. The structure is almost square in shape; the facade of the structure is on the eastern side. It has high recessed rectangular panel with lancet Gothic arch entrance within a larger recessed tudor arch. The dome rests on the structure and there is no drum. The dome is surmounted by inverted lotus moulding and a finial. The interior of the structure has tudor arch shaped squinches on the four sides and an open niche shaped ventilator on the western wall. There is one grave laid on a rectangular platform which is enclosed within burnt brick wall. In the Interior few traces of fresco painting are visible above the squinches and dome.
