Tomb of Shah Ali Mardan

Shrine Shah Ali Mardan is located near Chowk Shaheedan, Akbar Road, Multan. Khwaja Pir Ali Mardan Awaisi was born in Iraq in 1196 A.H. /1781 CE and died in Multan in the year 1282 A.H./1865 CE. The tomb was built by Jind Wadda, the son of the saint. He belonged to the Awaisi Silsila of mysticism. He was a well-known scholar of Quran, Hadiths and Islamic Jurisprudence who led a simple life and earned his living as a water-carrier, avoided the company of rich people and loved the poor ones.
