Shrine of Pir Hassan Kabir u Din

The tomb of Pir Hassan Kabir u din is located I km east of Ucch Sharif tomb complex. Pir Hasan Kabiruddin who is known as Hassan Daryain the vicinity. About 500 meters before the mausoleum, there is a large permanent sign which serves as an indicator that the Pir`s mausoleum is ahead. The annual Urs`(death anniversary) of Pir Hasan is commemorated on the 17th and 18th days of the Islamic month of Safar, and hundreds of thousands of people visit his shrine on that occasion. In accordance with one of the epitaph son the walls of mausoleum, he was born in 1341 CE/742AH and died in 1449 CE/853 AH. Hence, based on this, he lived to be108 years. The complex is square in plan and roughly measures 35 m x 35 m. The main tomb is rectangular in plan and measure roughly 20x10m and is situated in the center. There are several graves in the courtyard. The grave of Pir Hasan Kabiruddin is in the main chamber and surrounded by three graves of similar size and a smaller grave of grandchildren. The courtyard of Pir Hasan Kabirdin`s mausoleum has many other graves. Entrance to main tomb is provided from west. It lies a slightly raised platform. An arched pavilion is provided on the entrance. Semi-circular dome rests on octagonal drum. Four small minarets have been provided on the four corners. An epitaph on wall stating the dates of the birth and death of Pir Hasan Kabiruddin as 1341 CE and 1449 CE. The monument is renovated condition and being well maintained by the local custodians.
