Dilazak Tomb

An octagonal shaped tomb of Shah Qutab Zainul Abedin, a Muslim saint of the Akbar period and was built during the early Mughal period with four entrances on the four sides wider in dimension than the other four sides of the octagon. The entrance facades are beautifully relieved with arched panels, each showing multi-cusps, flat arch and trefoil design. The entrance opens under a high arch, underneath which is an arched doorway with a window above. The corner sides are divided into two zones, each with an additional horizontal panel overhead. The drum is sixteen-sided with a low dome and on the western side a staircase is provided. On the floor is a grave but is now bereft of its stone.
