Tomb of Mirza Isa Khan Tarkhan-I

The tomb of Isa Khan Tarkhan, the first Tarkhan ruler of Thatta lies in a large quadrangular stone enclosure placed on a 1m high platform. The entrance punctuates the eastern wall opposite the semi-octagonal mihrab. The cluster incorporates several smaller enclosures, platforms and a canopy. It has an elegantly designed central enclosure with courses of carved bands and lattice window screens inset as panels. Graves have Quranic verses on them.
