Tomb of Hazrat Shah Shams Tabriz

A tomb, square in plan of 10.6 m, consisting of three storeys making a real height of 24.3 m. Around a tomb, a closed 2.4 m wide verandah has been provided. The second octagonal storey has been placed on the square of the first storey by bridging the zone of transition with the help of squinches and converting the tomb into an octagon. The external surface has been divided into small oblong panels, slightly recessed by means of flat brick border at top, bottom and the space between the panels.
