Grand Trunk Road Remains, Margalla Pass

The remains of ancient Grand Trunk Road are constructed in lime stone, built by Afghan King Sher Shah Suri in about 1540, which connected Kabul with Calcutta. It was probably built on ancient route, used by the Achaemenids and Greeks (Alexander).
