Mandol Bazar Baoli

It is located south of Hajira, 1 km from Mandol temple. Site is approached by following Mandol-Hajira road. The Baoli is situated just beside the road, on the bank of river Poonch, down to flat surface; on its side the way leads steeply down to settlement area. The site faces towards the north-east, with a courtyard, cell with tank and outer tank. The tanks are six stepped baoli. There is pipal tree on its side. There are projected arches on three sides of the chamber. The tank is large enough. The baoli is built with limestone and bricks laid in lime mortar. There are steps on both sides, exterior to the chamber, leading to roof in courtyard, there are wild plants grown inside the courtyard. The site is in good state of preservation. The baoli is supplied by water from the mountains at its west and reached to it from underground canal as indicated by the remains of canal on the other side of the road. The site abandoned and not reused.
