Kot Jangu Mosque

Mosque is located in deh Kot Jungo, taluka Thul, dist. Jacobabad. Entrance is on eastern side, main-gate is decorated with carved and embossed patterns. There are two doors in courtyard, two doors in verandah and two doors in prayer hall in northern and southern sides. Eastern side has three doors in prayer hall. Main gate on eastern side is decorated with small minarets and crowns. There are four rooms two on each side of the main gates. There is a courtyard, having 14 wooden windows and iron grill and on door in each northern and southern wall. Courtyard is three times larger than verandah. Verandah have doors in arches, central door is larger. Door of prayer hall is of same size. Top of eastern wall of prayer hall have nine minarets with lotus flower and glaze finial. There is a series of battlement. Mosque has three domes with lotus flower and glaze finial on top. Domes are internally painted with floral and geometrical pattern with fresco painting. It measures 39.30m in length and 23.30m in width with a height of 15m. Internally, prayer hall has three Mehrab of same size. Eastern wall of prayer hall has 16 niches. Each dome has four ventilators, 4 blind arches and squinch arches. Verandah of mosque is of equal size of prayer hall. Roof of verandah have heavy wooden beams and tears. Blue, brown, green colour tiles used in roof.
