Jamia Mosque Bahadur Pur

This mosque is located in village and deh Bahadurpur, taluka Thul, district Jacobabad. Main entrance has one door in pointed arch while arch portion is painted with multi-colours geometrical patterns. Above pointed arch, there are two large rectangular panels. Top of the wall have two turrets with finial in each corner. Series of merlons and a semi-circular dome on octagonal drum having series of merlons. Mosque has three doors in eastern wall of prayer hall and one door in each northern and southern wall. There are six arches in eastern and western wall and two in each northern and southern wall. Prayer hall have three domes rests on octagonal drum. There are four ventilators in each drum. There is a series of merlons on top of drum. Facade has green paint (out living the top). There is a space for Azaan in eastern side. Mosque consists of prayer hall, verandah and courtyard and all the structures are plastered with lime. Burnt bricks, mud mortar, mud plaster, lime plaster and cement are constructions materials. Mosque is decorated with pointed arch, rectangular panels, battlements, turrets, finial, multi-color geometrical patterns, green oil paint and floral paintings. Internally, there is a Mehrab having floral painting in western wall. There are three blind arches on each side of Mehrab. There are two blind arches with door are present in both northern and southern side. There are three domes, central dome is plain and plastered with mud mortar, central drum have eight ventilators and below it there are eight arches. Northern drum has four ventilators and eight arches, southern drum has three ventilators and eight arches. There are two open arches in northern side, two in southern side and six in eastern side, for entrance. Mosque is probably associated to Kalhora period of Sindh.
