Sermik Rock Painting

The site is situated on the right bank of the rivulet. Sermik village is located about six km from Humayun Bridge and about four km short of Mehdiabad on Skardu- Olding metaled road. The rock shelter is approached through an un-metaled road above Sermik nala about 2 km above Hydal station. The rock shelter is locally called Khraghrbis which preserved painted arrow heads with a hunting scene, leopards shown hunting ibexes. Here also found inscriptions in Tibetan character. Site belongs to multiple periods, probably from Early Iron Age to Buddhist.
