Lashno Kot Mosque

The mosque consists of a rectangular prayer chamber, measuring 12 x 8.5 m. It is covered by a verandah on two sides, at one end of which is a Hujra (room), screened by a wall. The mosque itself is built with stone and mud, and five wooden pillars in the middle of the prayer chamber support the flat roof above. The capitals of all the pillars are square - shaped, but as there are no brackets, the beams rest directly atop the pillars. The mihrab (niche) in the prayer chamber is placed slightly to the south. The covered verandah has arched, cusped openings on the eastern and southern sides. The roof of the verandah rests on five central pillars lengthwise and four pillars widthwise. They are all fluted and stand on carved square bases. The capitals are also square and show varying designs. Away from the mosque, to the east, there is a Ziarat (shrine) full of graves of martyrs, said to be missionaries of Islam from elsewhere.
