Shah-e-Mardan Mosque

Situated on a raised mount above the old settlement of Murtaza Abad village, the Shah e Mardan Mosque was built 200 -250 years ago by the numbardars (village headmen) of Murtaza Abad, namely Mamuro, Nasiro and Zahir Shah. Wooden cators form the main construction frame of this mosque. It is a relatively small, square -shaped building, with a verandah on two sides. There are carved patterns on both the opening frames of the building, as well as its exterior. The architectural context of this historic mosque is denoted by an old jamaat khana nearby (space designated for the religious practice of the Shia Ismaili Muslim community), unusually named the Sawab - e -Ha (literally, the house of good reward), and a communal space.
