Ali Mosque

This first ever mosque of the Bar Khas settlement (Bar Proper) was built by a local individual named Buleo. It has also been used as an Imambargah (space designated for the religious commemorative congregation of the Shia Ithna-Ashari Muslim community. Today, Muharram rituals are performed in a newly constructed Imambargah adjacent to this historic mosque. The small, square-shaped mosque has a verandah with carved fascia boards facing east, and its roof boasts a prominent octagonal skylight with shingle roofing. According to the locals, this building was initially built using a cribbage and cator structure. However, this is obstructed by the cement plaster recently added to its walls.
