Khanqah-e-Moallah Talis

This Khanqah is situated in the settlement of Talis and is surrounded with traditional houses. The structure is built with timber, stone and concrete. It has been built over a square plan with verandahs on its eastern and southern sides. The lower portion of the Khanqah houses a sanitation facility (for ritual ablutions), a winter mosque as well as a storage space. It also provides access to the settlement. The eastern verandah is divided into two separate levels; the upper level serves as a prayer space for females. During the most recent phase of reconstruction, the community added a series of reinforced concrete columns to the basement level, in order to provide additional support to the heavy upper structure.
