Isplingi II

The Isplingi site is located close towards east of Isplingi village consisting of two mounds lying at a distance of 150 m away from each other. Mound - 2 is also almost circular in shape, which as robbed ruthlessly by local people. The potteries retrieved are mostly painted, where fine buff ware ranging from light pink to greenish buff with fine texture was predominant. The designs noted are geometrical, while the stepped and oval motifs checkered and chevron pattern. Some fragments of black paint with fine texture, thin light grey associated with Quetta and Fair Mohammad wares were recorded. However, few complete pots reflected a mature concept of pottery making technology. The tentative study of the surface collection places the site in 2nd millennium BCE.
