Kishan Ghati (cave) near Sharda

The site is located about 3 km down to the Sharada Temple, lying at the top of the steep ridge which projects into the Kishnganga valley. Stein identify this place where Kalhana describes king Jayasimhas siege. The present name is Ganesh Ghatti after an elephant like a rock which worshipped as Syayambhu. A carved head of elephant, a swastika, and a bust of the female figure were found on the Ganesh Ghati near the Sirahsila fort. The carved head is now slightly damaged, which occupies the Ganesh Ghati rock. The woman bust is in frontal posture, carved out in the rock. Both figures are facing toward the east. The symbol of swastika is orange in colour, occupying a prominent part of the rock. Beside all these details, there is a cave on the top center of the boulder, covered with bushes, apparently not visible from a distance.
