Jhalar Daro
SindhSettlementProtected
Jhalar Daro is located near village Mubarak Pariyani, it can be accessed from Hyderabad-Badin Road via track to Mubarak Piryani village. Jhalar Daro was originally a large sized mound, which has largely been disturbed by agricultural activity. The local version about this site is that a battle was fought at this place between Shah Baig Arghun and Jam Sallahuddin. Hence locally it is known as the ground of Jhalar. The mound of Jhalar is now under cultivation and nearly 20% of the mound survives at present. In future there is a possibility that the mound would be completely destroyed by cultivation. Cultural material was sparsely scattered over the site which clearly belonged to the Islamic period (Sultanate/Mughal Period).
