Nand Kot

Nand Kot is located approximately 15 km south-west of Seerani town, it can be accessed from Badin-Sea Costal link road via earthen track to Bachal Jakhro village and onwards to Nand Kot. The site is spread in a very large area and presently only some traces of the fort are surviving. There is evidence of two mounds, Mound-I (northern) and Mound-II (southern). Mound-I is a small mound measuring 5m in length, 2.89 m in breadth, its elevation 2.4 m from the surrounding area. There is profusion of cultural material on the surface of the mound and the rest of the site had scattered evidence of cultural material. Mound-II measured 22.5 m in length, 17 m in breadth, its elevation is 1 m from the surface level. There are some traces of burnt bricks of the fortification and a mud brick wall adjoining the mound (Sultanate/Mughal Period).
