Asseli-jo-Daro lies approximately 16.38 km north-east of Golarchi city, taluka Golarchi, district Badin. It can be accessed from Golarchi via Badin-Golarchi Road and turning north on the canal road to Asseli site. The site Asseli-Jo-Daro is spread in a large area, it measures 201 m in length and 144 m in breadth and is about 7 m high from the surrounding area. The site is mostly destroyed by later occupation. Cultural material was sparsely scattered over the site which was disturbed and damaged due to the presence of houses on top of the mound. The cultural material found on the surface included Plain and painted pottery, terracotta toy ship, terracotta quern, copper coins, copper bowls, shells, sandstone pieces and grinder stone pieces etc (Sultanate/Mughal Period?).
